SATURDAY 25 MAY 12 PM – SUNDAY 26 MAY 6 PM

NAARM / MELBOURNE CBD

Join us for a 24-hour artistic demonstration of solidarity with our Palestinian and First Nations communities.

Calling art enthusiasts, activists, supporters of creative expressions, and human rights!

We are thrilled to invite you to a one-of-a-kind event that promises to ignite your senses and spark conversations about resistance, liberation, and cultural heritage.

We are proud to present an exceptional gathering of talented artists from all backgrounds and modalities who will be using their art form to express solidarity with the Palestinian and/or First Nations people, and speak out against oppression and the impacts of colonisation, propaganda and censorship through powerful works of art.

Help us fundraise to support Palestinians trapped or escaping the horrors of the Gaza destruction and our First Nations people’s resistance movement at Camp Sovereignty.

Camp Sovereignty

Tales of the Olive Trees is fundraising for Camp Sovereignty. The funds will go to Uncle Robbie at Camp Sovereignty to help with the camp’s expenses to sustain the encampment. On Invasion Day 2024, Uncle Robbie Thorpe of the Krauatungalung people re-established Camp Sovereignty on the grounds of the so-called “King’s Domain”. The Sacred Fire of Camp Sovereignty honours the ancestors who lay buried there, as well as hundreds of thousands of people lost across the continent.

Organised & supported by

Tales of the Olive Trees (fomerly WeAreNotNumbersAus) meet and work on stolen lands of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and respect that sovereignty of those lands was never ceded. We pay respect to Elders, past and present, and acknowledged that Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander and the Palestinian people’s struggle for dignity and justice are one and the same.
